The last two weeks have been insane, in a good way.
I was fortunate enough to go to Barcelona again for my third Mobile World Congress and work with one of my incredible clients, facilitating media opportunities and talk more about the trends that are impacting the mobile, telco and service provider space.
Following that whirlwind trip, I bounced down to Anaheim for my sweet friend’s bachelorette party. We BBQ’d steaks at the AirBnB, played several games of high stakes Jenga and spent Sunday running around Disneyland.
Then, I rolled right into meetings up in San Francisco at RSA - the leading IT security conference. Met new faces, checked out messaging, did some broadcast spots and kept chugging along.
So, I’m home again in Santa Cruz. Missed being home with JVE, the kids and our dingdong dog. I am at the tail end of a cold/cough that was my travel companion for the last few weeks…sorry to anyone I infected. My bad.
But, I am bushwhacked! Since I have been go go going for the last month or so, I am craving slowness and silence…and an endless supply of stretchy pants.
I sent this recipe to JVE early last week. Seemed like just the thing to reset and comfort while we wait out this California rain too.
I love pasta and I love bolognese. I have such distinct memories of my mom putting together a meat sauce for spaghetti night and standing behind her as she added bits and bobs to it…and it always being the most delicious thing…hot or cold.
Since this particular sauce took 2+ hours to cook and I couldn’t fathom the little meatballs waiting until 8pm to eat, we made the sauce on a Thursday night and put it all together Friday night for family dinner.
So simple. So good. No phones. No TV. Just five exhausted people sitting around a table shoving delicious carbs into their mouths.
What more could you ask for?
